Who is Jeffrey Gaines?
here's a little basic info...
BIO
Jeffrey grew up in Harrisburg, PA
listening to classic R&B and taking
art classes. As a teen he discovered rock
and played with several garage bands.
His first album received critical acclaim,
and invoked comparisons to Tracy Chapman,
Seal and Elvis Costello.
Jeffrey has toured with Tori
Amos, Stevie Nicks,
Tom Petty, Sting and Tracy Chapman (among others).
He lives in the Philly area but he's on the road
over 150 nights a year so check
back often;
he may be coming to your town soon
and you won't want to miss it.

PRESS
Since his self-titled debut was released
in 1992, this expressive and dynamic singer,
guitarist, and songwriter has been heralded
for his soul-searching confessional lyrics
and his powerful live performances.
An artist who gets to the heart of the matter,
Gaines' perception is reflected in his songwriting
in a way that is extraordinary.

Jeffrey Gaines
Q&A
Thursday, May 03, 2007
Jeffrey Gaines returns to Whitaker Center tomorrow for his annual
homecoming concert, anticipating the usual running conversation with the crowd and people awakening some long dormant memories.
"It's more than just the music fans who show up," he said. "It's the guy I went to school with, the
guy I worked with, that's what's cool about it."
This time the Central Dauphin East High School alum is paired with singer/songwriter extraordinaire
Patty Larkin.

St. Patty's fundraiser
raises the green
With her winning personality and enthusiasm
for the town and its future, Moira Shaughnessy had found a place in the heart of the Ardmore community, long before she fell
suddenly, dangerously ill with viral encephalitis. Last Saturday night, she found out just how big that heart is. Hundreds
of friends, family members and others who have been touched by her struggle to recover from the damaging effects of the illness
poured into Brownie's 23 East for a St. Patrick's Day benefit. By 6 p.m., shortly before a packed bill of musical entertainment
started playing, the line of well-wishers stretched down Lancaster Avenue, and it only seemed to grow through the icy night,
until a surprise performance by Haverford's Jeffrey Gaines wrapped up the event, sometime
after 10. "We're at $43,000 and counting," an exhausted but exuberant Christine Vilardo, acting Ardmore Initiative director,
reported Monday morning. "I was truly at a loss for words," she added. "The list of people to thank is longer than both
our arms. As Charlie Ward said, it's the biggest party Ardmore has ever seen." Shaughnessy has returned home to live with her parents in Blue Bell. She continues to need home care and other
services which may not be covered by insurance. Fundraising for Shaughnessy continues,
Vilardo said. Contributions can be made to: The Moira Shaughnessy Medical Fund c/o TD BankNorth, 551 W. Lancaster Ave., Haverford,
Pa., 19041.

Radio Woodstock: 25th
Anniversary
B-Dub Music, 2005
In a land where corporate media is king and prefab puppets
are littering the airwaves in the name of music, indie owned and operated WDST stands as one of the last sentinels of unique,
thinking man's rock. World-class rock, that is. If live is what you love, then Radio Woodstock's latest two-CD gem, in honor
of their silver anniversary, is for you. And it's for a good cause, too. One hundred percent of net proceeds are being donated
to the Dyson Center for Cancer Care at Vassar Hospital in Poughkeepsie (they've raised more than $10,000 so far).
There are 34 local concert recordings here, which were captured by the
DST gang at venues large and small all over the Hudson Valley. The collection spans multiple genres, class act performances
from artists that have stood the test of time: Ani DiFranco, Spearhead, Natalie Merchant, Warren Zevon, Jewel, moe., Tori
Amos, The Jayhawks, Aimee Mann, Jeffrey Gaines, Dar Williams, Crash Test Dummies, Joan Osborne,
and many more. Now being distributed nationally by Universal, you can pick this one up at larger retail outlets, or donate
$20 directly at radiowoodstock.com.
